Local investment amid wider conditions

These openings occurred as Camberwell received £3 million from Transport for London to improve the town centre and address poor public transport infrastructure and high traffic volumes. The area also secured £1.5 million from the Greater London Authority's Good Growth Fund to upgrade Camberwell Station Road, convert empty railway arches into business units and install sustainable urban drainage systems plus eight new trees.
