Peckham Cellars Team Opens Little Cellars Wine Bar in Camberwell 2026

The Peckham Cellars team is bringing a new wine bar called Little Cellars to Camberwell Church Street, with an attached bottle shop and tasting room named Cellar Next Door scheduled to open early in 2026.

Recent additions reshape Church Street and Grove Lane

Four other food and drink businesses have opened in the area since late 2024. These include the all-day bakery and restaurant hello JoJo at 31 Church Street in May 2025, the upmarket grocery and deli Gladwell’s in a Grade II listed former bank on Camberwell Church Street in March 2025, the bookshop-café Lala Books on Grove Lane in March 2025, and the pub The Kerfield Arms at 16 Grove Lane in April 2025. A Turner & George butcher counter now operates inside Gladwell’s. Music store Dash the Henge added HENGE Coffee at 348 Camberwell New Road in late July 2024.

These openings follow a £1.5 million grant from the Greater London Authority’s Good Growth Fund that supported improvements to Camberwell Station Road and conversion of empty railway arches. Denmark Hill Station completed a £7.5 million upgrade that included solar power and new cycle parking.

Renovation work already under way

Code Hospitality reported that renovation of the Little Cellars site is in progress. The project adds to a cluster of independent operators along Church Street and Grove Lane. Southwark Council documents note further public realm work on Denmark Hill that widened pavements and added safer crossings near Camberwell Green.

Everyone Active began managing Camberwell Leisure Centre on 21 June 2024 after a £2.7 million investment that included a new BOX 12 fitness studio. The leisure centre finished the final phase of a £6.2 million revamp that created a 600 square metre open space in Jubilee Hall.
