Doncaster's arts scene rests on a small number of established venues and organisations that deliver programmes of theatre, cinema, live music and visual arts. Cast, which opened in 2013, Doncaster Little Theatre and Bawtry Phoenix Theatre form the core of performance spaces, each running mixed schedules that include professional and amateur work.

Cast provides a main stage and studio spaces for larger productions, while the volunteer-run Doncaster Little Theatre maintains a programme of plays and community events. Community-Focused Groups and Support

Doncaster also has three Arts Council National Portfolio Organisations: Cast, darts and Higher Rhythm. Emerging artists can show work at the Doncaster Art Fair, while Art Nook offers a free exhibition space inside RingoRetro.
