Separately, the Casey Hospital Emergency Department Expansion started construction in 2025 with an expected finish in 2027. Pennsylvania American Water Company received $25.45 million for a new water treatment plant in Berwick, Columbia County, that will include granular-activated carbon filters designed to address PFAS. In Louisiana, the La. 182 Berwick Bridge rehabilitation carries a $25.97 million price tag to repair the structure over the Berwick/Atchafalaya River, with completion estimated for fall 2025.
