Transport Upgrades Target Local Congestion

The elevated Footscray Road 'skyroad', 1.5km long and up to 13m high, forms part of the West Gate Tunnel Project. It was completed and tested in late 2025, with an official opening expected in December 2025 to remove around 9,000 trucks daily from local streets. The Metro Tunnel project has also commenced, cutting travel time from Footscray to Parkville to 8 minutes while increasing service frequencies. Education and Sport Precincts Receive Targeted Funding
