Staff estimates indicate roughly 4,200 households may qualify based on 2025 census income data.
Finance department projections attached to the resolution forecast total additional revenue of 1.1 million euros in the first full year. These figures appear in the same document that lists the 2026 waste budget line at 14.8 million euros. No other fee categories were altered in the July 7 vote.
Implementation Timeline
Billing notices will be mailed by July 25. The first adjusted payments are due September 15. The rebate window closes on October 31, after which staff will process claims and issue credits on the December statement. Further reviews of the fee structure are scheduled for the November council session.
