Collingwood Breaks Ground on New Hospital, Hundreds of Homes, Hotel
Multiple projects on Poplar Sideroad, at the Terminals and along Highway 26 are adding residential units, hotel space and a new hospital site.

A $1.65 billion Poplar Regional Health & Wellness Village is under development on Poplar Sideroad, planned to include over 2,200 housing units and a new site for the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. The project forms part of Collingwood’s current pipeline of major initiatives that also include redevelopment at the Terminals and construction at Silvercreek.
Poplar Regional Health & Wellness Village
The Poplar Regional Health & Wellness Village on Poplar Sideroad will deliver more than 2,200 housing units together with the relocated Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. The scale of the scheme directly addresses local housing supply while relocating essential health services to a single integrated site.
Terminals Mixed-Use Precinct and Nearby Retail
Streetcar Developments and Dream are redeveloping the Terminals area into a mixed-use precinct that will contain a hotel, residential condominiums and a preserved historic silo structure. A new Costco and a new Marriott hotel are also planned near the Terminals, adding retail and visitor accommodation options within the same growth corridor.
Residences at Silvercreek and Collingwood Quay
The Residences at Silvercreek are under construction on Highway 26 and will provide 247 residential units plus a 4,800 sq ft amenity space. Collingwood Quay is a planned waterfront condo development along the Collingwood harbour that will add 101 residential units and commercial space. These two projects increase the variety of housing types available near existing transport routes and the waterfront.
Collectively the projects expand the local housing stock through a combination of large-scale master-planned communities and smaller waterfront and highway-adjacent sites.
