Broadmeadows Venues Host Rugby League, Basketball and Community Sports

The $22 million Victorian State Rugby League and Community Centre at Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows opened in May 2024 as the home of Melbourne Storm’s pathway programs and NRL Victoria's headquarters.

Seabrook Reserve as Central Hub

Seabrook Reserve serves as the base for local rugby league club Northern Thunder. It also functions as the administration base for NRL Victoria and Touch Football Victoria. The new centre adds dedicated infrastructure for training and administration at this single location.

Broadmeadows hosts the weekly All-Abilities Basketball Program called Helping Hoops for ages 5 to 17 on Mondays at 5pm at the Broadmeadows Basketball Stadium. This regular session operates alongside other stadium uses managed locally.

NRL Victoria is scheduled to hold a Female Footy Festival featuring over 50 games at Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows, expected to attract 1,500 attendees. This event demonstrates the capacity of the reserve to host large-scale activity following the 2024 centre opening.
