Bundoora Sports Park Hosts Elite Training and Local Matches

The Home of the Matildas opened at La Trobe University Sports Park in Bundoora in July 2023. The purpose-built facility for the Australian women's soccer team has since expanded to five FIFA-grade pitches.
La Trobe Sports Park Redevelopment
The $101.1 million Victorian State Rugby Centre of Excellence and State Football Centre form part of the broader La Trobe Sports Park redevelopment in Bundoora. These additions support both professional training and community sports programs at the same location.
RMIT Sports Centre Operations
RMIT Sports Centre in Bundoora at Building 203 on McKimmies Road stays open for regular use. Weekday hours run from 8:00am to 10:00pm while weekend hours run from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Bundoora Tennis Club and Golf Course Updates
Bundoora Tennis Club finished Stage 1 of its facility upgrade in December 2021. The work added LED lighting, enclosure fences and accessibility paving on courts 7 and 8 under a $400k Darebin Council budget. Darebin Council also extended its partnership with Clublinks through a two-year management contract for Bundoora Park Golf Course.
These dated improvements supply the pitches, courts and grounds used for matches and training sessions across the week. Residents can visit the listed venues during the published hours to take part in or watch local sports activity.
