Box Hill Residents Access 50+ Annual Community Events Through Council

Box Hill's community events calendar includes recurring activities organised by the Box Hill North Community along with specific annual dates such as the Chinese New Year Festival on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Box Hill Town Hall.

Recurring Community Activities

The Box Hill North Community hosts a twice-yearly Community Yard Sale, a fall Community Dumpster, a Children's Easter event, Trunk or Treat, and a Children's Holiday Event. These gatherings appear on the organisation's events page and provide regular opportunities for local participation without fixed annual dates beyond the twice-yearly yard sale schedule.

Annual Commemorations and Festivals

Anzac Day commemorations take place each year at the World War I Memorial in Box Hill Gardens on Friday, April 25, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Box Hill RSL. The Chinese New Year Festival is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Box Hill Town Hall and features lion dances and street food. These fixed dates anchor the festive and remembrance portions of the local calendar.

Regular Group Meetings

Local community groups such as the Creative Fibres Group meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month, excluding December, at Box Hill Village Hall. This monthly pattern offers a consistent venue for craft-focused gatherings throughout most of the year.
