Mount Cooper Lookout and Bundoora Park
Standing at the highest point in metropolitan Melbourne, Mount Cooper Lookout is a free scenic viewpoint located near Bundoora Park, according to the Humanitix events listing for Bundoora. The farm features sheep, goats, cows, alpacas and native wildlife, plus a heritage village, a large enclosed playground, picnic areas and a café, according to an Instagram post from the farm. The park is pram and wheelchair accessible with paved pathways and ample parking, the Reel states. While the farm itself is free, pony rides and tractor rides cost a small fee: tractor rides are $3.30 and pony rides are available for children aged 2-8, according to the Travelling Peoples blog.
La Trobe Art Institute and Bundoora Homestead Art Centre
The La Trobe Art Institute at La Trobe University's Bundoora campus offers free entry and does not require visitors to be university students, according to the UniHill Town Centre. It features rotating exhibitions showcasing contemporary art and works from the university's collection.
Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is a public art gallery housed in a heritage homestead site, described as a free cultural stop in Bundoora by the Travelling Peoples blog.
