Clayton Downtown Events Feature Food Festivals, Music Nights This Season
Downtown Clayton lines up food festivals, park gatherings and music nights through the coming months.
How we reported this

Taste of St. Louis, the region's largest food event, takes over downtown Clayton from Friday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 17. The free gathering brings more than 40 restaurant booths and live music to the streets.
The timing aligns with peak summer demand for outdoor activities in the area. Residents and visitors turn to downtown spaces when warmer weather supports extended evenings outside.
Shaw Park as the hub
Shaw Park serves as Clayton's primary weekend venue for recurring activities like pop-up yoga, farmers markets and open-air movie nights, plus major festivals. The park hosts these programs on a steady schedule that draws families and groups each weekend.
Parties in the Park, St. Louis' longest-running outdoor happy hour with live music and drinks, happens the second Wednesday of each month from May through September downtown. The series uses the same central location to keep the events accessible without extra travel.
Later dates on the calendar
The Saint Louis Art Fair, a top-ranked juried fine art event, is held downtown the second full weekend in September on Sept. 5-7, 2025. The Clayton Jazz Festival follows on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 5:00-10:00 p.m. at Downtown Clayton, presented by Autumn Hill Records.
